Grip Support
Lighting Support
The Hydra ‘Nadir’ unit supports lighting units from the surface by use of the under slung arms & mounting plate to affix spigot ends, scaffold clamps or suspending triangular lighting truss’s.
Triangular lighting truss’s come in lengths of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 & 2.5 metres.
This method frees up the bottom pool or tank of lighting stands, increasing a scenes area of action, plus allows quick surface positioning of the lamps. Productions that require lighting to be set on the water bed, the floats can be detached and the unit sunk & position on the floor. Units positioned on the bottom can provide support for a triangular truss or spigots.
Underwater & Dive Tender
The camera ‘Nadir’ system aids camera operators on SCUBA to leave the camera between scene “Takes” on a positioned tender close to the filming position. This reduces crew/ operator fatigue by not pulling in the camera when leaving the water for director notes , rehearsal or set dressing.
On Dry Land
The units excel at providing a mount that can be positioned into confined or tricky locations. For use out of water, the legs can be fitted with suction cups or scaffold clamps for attachment to various structures or vehicles.
Alternatively it may be used with no foot attachments just as a free standing mount. Each leg can be individually adjusted to various heights to suit uneven shapes such as stairs or slopes giving an even & secure mount for supporting camera or lamp heads.
